Majlis Penganugerahan Pelajar Fakulti Farmasi


The annual Pharmnight event was conducted on 3 June 2023 (Saturday) at Multaqam Hall, Golden Chersonese Media Hall with the theme of ‘Movie Star Night’ to appreciate and award the students who excel in academic and co-curricular activities. The doorgift of the event was very creative as the organiser had prepared tote bags designed with Pharmnight logo. The event started at 8:15 p.m. with a warm opening speech given by Prof. Dr. Mohd bin Makmor Bakry and the chairperson of Pharmnight, Nurul Hidayah Binti Mohd Sakri. After that, the event was inaugurated by the opening gimmick.

At 8:45 p.m., the food was ready to be served for all attendees including the organising committee. A wide variety of food was prepared, such as roti jala, ayam rendang, nasi hujan and satay. While dinner was served, a performance was presented by Year 2 students on stage, followed by an appreciation video from the organising committee. Next, an award ceremony for JATI Best Team Award and dean’s list award commenced. Approximately 50 undergraduate students were involved in the dean’s list award. 

The event continued with the most thrilling session – The Lucky Draw. There were five winners in that session and each winner could get a pack of goodies. After that, the postgraduate programme award and leadership award were conducted at 9:40 p.m.. Later, Pharmaband consisting of undergraduate students performed, vibing up the event again. The event commenced with an award-giving ceremony in which the Pharmaniaga Award was given to Sharifah Hanisah Firzanah Binti Syed Mohd Roslan and Lilian Yeo Fang Fang, followed by Ibnu Sina Award won by Arinah Faqihah Binti Hashim and PMFFar Best Student Award given to Lai Yue Jiun. Additionally, the Student Excellence Award was presented to Lai Yue Jiun (Leadership), Ainnur Amiera binti Ridzwan (Entrepreneurship), Amirah binti Abdul Rahman (Sports), Amierah Nadiah binti Mohd Badli (Volunteering), Ahmad Hasif bin Mohd Nordin (Culture) and Muhammad Nail Habry bin Mohamad Adam (Figure of Hope). A huge congratulations to Lai Yue Juin who won the Best PMFFar Student Award too! Lastly, all Year 4 students conducted their last performance before graduation. The event ended at 11:00 p.m. with a heartfelt appreciation video from the final year students to all lecturers and staff in the Faculty of Pharmacy. 

It was a joyful experience having the opportunity to join this year’s Pharmnight event as there are a lot of memories created with friends and colleagues in such a monumental event.
