Course overview

  • Produce graduates who have extensive knowledge, high skills and caliber in the field of engineering education with research skills in line with the development of technology and ever-changing demands and have humanitarian values.
  • The goal of the program is to prepare graduates with the ability to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of engineering education and solve complex problems.
  • At the same time also produce discoveries that can lead to new knowledge. The proposed program also clearly supports Industrial Revolution 4.0 as it adapts 21st century skills when classes are conducted using the latest technology platforms.

Entry Requirements

A person who wishes to apply for the Master of Science program must have the following qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree with Honors (CGPA 2.75 and above) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or the equivalent from any recognized university;

OR;

  • CGPA 2.50 - 2.74 subject to rigorous internal evaluation;

OR;

  • CGPA 2.00 - 2.49 with at least 5 years of experience in 13 related fields after obtaining a degree and subject to rigorous internal evaluation.

English Language Requirements
  • International students must meet the English language requirements by obtaining a minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or the equivalent of any exam that has been aligned to The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) as approved by the Senate.

  • An international student who fails to meet the English language competency requirements may be given a conditional offer as follows:
  1. Students are allowed to attend an internal English Preparatory Course at the University with a time limit of a maximum of two (2) years and subject to the regulations of the Malaysian Immigration Department in force; and
  2. International students pursuing an internal English Preparatory Course must sit for the IELTS or TOEFL, or MUET examinations or any CEFR-aligned examination to meet the English language competency requirements.

  • The list of examinations that has been aligned to the CEFR is subject to the list approved by the Senate and continuously updated.

  • The Faculty/Institute may grant exemptions to the conditions stated in sub regulations 5(1) and 5(2) to:
  1. International students originating from countries that use English as the official language; or
  2. International students who use academic qualifications from institutions that use English as the medium of instruction and intend to pursue higher studies at the University.
