BANGI, 7 August 2015 – While the Aidilfitri season is about food and celebration, it is the camaraderie between friends and colleagues that makes it all the more meaningful in the festivities of the National University of Malaysia (UKM) at The Tun Abdul Razak Hall (Dectar) today.

At the open house celebration, Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali wished a joyous Aidilfitri to all UKM staff who had provided the best service to the university.

“I believe that, in the line of duty, we have offended some people unintentionally and knowingly. On behalf of my colleagues in the management of the University, please forgive us if anything out of turn was said or done,” he declared.

He believed that all the staff had full confidence in themselves as a prerequisite to achieve national aspirations for the University’s mandate.

“Let us cherish this day and also at the same time pledge a commitment to continue to work and carry out the tasks more effectively at our institution,” he said.

At the ceremony, UKM Holdings also symbolically presented a dividend cheque  totalling RM2.5 million to the university.
