BANGI, 20 March 2018 – The prime minister’s wife, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor suggested that Pusat PERMATApintar Negara (PERMATApintar) provide a special track for PERMATA smart students so they are more confident studying in PERMATApintar.

Director of PERMATApintar, Prof Dato’ Dr Noriah Mohd Ishak said, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah who also Patron of PERMATA hope that the special children can study like other kids at Kolej PERMATApintar.

“We (Kolej PERMATApintar) have received smart special student, Izz Imil Shahrom, 6 years old. He is the youngest student in the college.

“Izz Imil having an extraordinary ability of the intellectual intelligence (IQ), ability to solve Mathematics and Chemistry problems. He is eligible to study here after he passes the test,” she said after the Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor tour to PERMATApintar, recently.

He said it is not impossible, we have many special children in our country like Izz Imil, but their parents didn’t know the way to manage these kids.

“Like the Izz Imil case, his parents call me and tell me about the special of their son. I’m asking them to bring him here (PERMATApintar) and we make an observation.

“Three weeks he with us, we find that he is suitable to follow our class at PERMATApintar College. Even though his age six years, but have reached the IQ level of 16 year olds,” she explained.

She said if the PERMATApintar College did not take Izz Imil to study here, the country would lose precious gems.

“For this year, Izz Imil only focuses on the subject that he interests namely Chemistry and Mathematics.

“We offer other subjects in stages. We do not want him ‘shocked’ because learning here is quite long which is from 8am to 4.30pm.

“So, this is a special track to Izz Imil until we think that he already independent,” she said.

Before that, the Petron of PERMATA, Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor have been met Izz Imil to review the progress, learning process and relationships with different age friends
