UKM Kuala Lumpur 2017 Volunteers will Make Great Leaders

BANGI, 21 April 2017 – Students who are involved as a volunteer at this year’s Kuala Lumpur 2017 has materialised UKM’s red umbrella concept, said UKM Vice-Chancellor Prof Dato’ Seri Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali.

“I believe you will become a great leader because you have made history in your life when you decided to seize the opportunity to volunteer for this historic sport.

“For your information, the opportunity to become a volunteer in an event as prestigious as this, does not come every day.

“So, you should be proud of yourself for representing Malaysia and UKM by being a volunteer for the SEA Games and Asean Para Games,” he said in his welcoming speech at the Volunteer Training Programme Kuala Lumpur 2017 in UKM for Group 21.

To date, more than 9,000 volunteers has undergone training at UKM.

Also present at the programme were Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Industry and Community Partnership, Prof Dato’ Dr Imran Ho Abdullah and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation, Prof Dr Mohd Ekhwan Toriman.
