Professor Dr Mohd Shahrir Mohamed Said is a Senior Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HCTM UKM), specializing in Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Systemic sclerosis. He is Head of Rheumatology unit, Department of Medicine since 2008. He obtained his training in Ministry of Health Rheumatology training in 2004 till 2008 and his professorship in rheumatology and internal medicine in 2016. He has conducted numerous researches particularly in rheumatology, published and presented in national and international congresses. He is the Honorable Secretary for Malaysian Rheumatology Accreditation Committee since 2018. The Rheumatology Unit, Department of Medicine is an established center for rheumatology training for both national and international Fellows, and actively involved in international multicenter clinical trials.
