POSTGRADUATE STUDIES OPEN DAY

For the first time, the Postgraduate Studies Faculty of Medicine Open Day was held on 16 August 2024 and 17 August 2024 to attract more people to pursue their studies in the Postgraduate Programme, Faculty of Medicine UKM. The university chairman, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr., officiated the program with Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Gafor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and International Affairs, Dato’ Dr. Azmi Baharudin Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz Director, Prof. Datin Dr. Marina Binti Mat Baki Faculty of Medicine Dean, Prof. Datin Dr. Norlinah Binti Mohamed Ibrahim Deputy Dean (Postgraduate), and Dr. Aishah Hani Binti Azil Faculty of Medicine UKM Postgraduate Open Day chairperson on 16 August 2024.

Flowchart of Credentialing and Privileging in HCTM for International Candidates

DEFINITION

Credentialing: a process to set the standards and to do an evaluation for a person’s qualification in a field or procedure. It is recognition for the professional training done by a medical practitioner.

Privileges: the rights given by the hospital for a medical practitioner to give treatments or to do procedures on hospital patients based on the qualifications of the training, and the medical practitioner’s experience and expertise.
