VACANCY FOR A PHD STUDENT

UMBI is looking for a highly motivated, passionate and hardworking Graduate Research Assistant candidate for PhD research in cancer biology. This is a 3-year project that involves functional interrogation of an oncogenic molecule using the emerging CRISPR-based genome editing technologies in breast cancer cells. The candidate will experience several CRISPR-based tools such as CRISPR-dCas9, CRISPR knockout and CRISPR interference to study the genetic and epigenetic regulation of the gene of interest.

REQUIREMENTS
1.Malaysian
2.Possess MSc in Biomedical science/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or other related fields
3. CGPA >3.00 (if applicable)

4. Proficient in English language (writing and speaking)

5. Have basic molecular biology skills (e.g. cell culture, western blot, PCR etc) but not required
6. Able to work independently and is a team player.STIPEND
