CEO TALK @UMBI Series 1/2019: Unleashing The Power of Entrepreneurship in Science
On the 3rd of May 2019, UMBI held its first CEO Talk for the year 2019. It was a pleasure to invite Mr Yong Wei Shian, CEO of a biotech company start-up, Advanx Health. Mr Yong is a young and energetic changemaker that is passionate about leveraging technology and data to influence decision-making process, especially in the healthcare sector. Previously, Mr Yong has been actively involved in the start-up arena, with his first venture, FoodNinja, a social enterprise that aims to solve food waste. His latest venture is Advanx Health, a Malaysian healthcare company that offers genetic DNA testing to help customers discover exactly what they physically require in order to remain healthy, and also identify their biggest health risks and how to avert them.
He also shared some of the steps to become an entrepreneur with DESIGN THINKING:
