Introduction

The Institute of Climate Change (IPI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, established in December 2013, has been actively involved in advancing climate change research and environmental improvement at both local and global levels. As a renowned educational and research centre, IPI focuses on climate change, space science, and environmental studies. IPI also serves as a key advisor to the Government of Malaysia, providing technical expertise on climate and environmental issues.

One-Stop Data Curation Portal for Climate Change Research in Malaysia, MyIklim was launched in 2022, giving a worldwide open-access database on environmental and climate change research in Malaysia. The main mission is to disseminate current research data in an interactive, easily understandable to the general public.

CONFERENCE 2026

The STACLIM 2026 with the theme “Beyond 1.5°C: Transforming Commitments into Action for a Climate-Safe World” will be held 8-10 September 2026.

This event is envisaged to witness active participation from various eminent environmental and earth scientists, researchers, engineers and students from academia, industry and government sectors to address climate change complications and draw forth novel and ground-breaking initiatives and solutions for climate resilience.
