Dress Code

1. During the gown collection, a photo session will be conducted for the convocation recording. Graduands are required to dress according to the dress code of the convocation ceremony.
2. Graduands will not be allowed to proceed for the convocation photos or attend convocation ceremony if do not comply with the dress code given as follows:
 

Men

Formal attire, national dress or lounge suit with UKM’s neck tie or ceremonial dress.

For MPAT Student – Service Dress

 

Ladies

Formal attire(long sleeve shirt/blouse and ankle length trousers/skirt without slits) and face must NOT be covered (veil) or ceremonial dress.

For MPAT Student – Service Dress

  Convocation Gown and Mortar Board: According to the colour assigned to each faculty or diploma.
   
  Shoes: Covered and formal shoes (slippers, sandals and sports shoes are NOT ALLOWED)
   
  Face mask: Graduands are required to wear masks throughout the ceremony as a safety measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Reminder:

  • Jeans are NOT ALLOWED in the Convocation Hall. Male graduands are also reminded to keep your hair short and tidy.
  • Graduands, who are not comply with the dress code, will not be allowed to enter the ceremony hall for the Chancellor’s Session or will not be allowed to take photographs for the convocation.
  • A fine of RM50.00 for each item that does not meet the dress codes will be imposed on graduands. The fine need to be paid prior to scroll collection.
