Biography:

Mohd Sukor Su’ait completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2014. Currently, he has been appointed as a research fellow at Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) and associate researcher at Polymer Research Center (PORCE), UKM, Malaysia. He is an active member of several international scientific communities including Co-chair of American chemical society (ACS) Malaysia Chapter, Registered Chemist with Malaysia Institute of Chemistry (IKM), International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), a member of Malaysian Polymer Society, as well as a Certified Energy Manager by ASEAN Energy Management Accreditation Scheme (AEMAS). His research interest in electrochemistry covers the synthesis and characterization of electrochemical materials for energy storage and conversion devices (lithium batteries and solar cell). He had published >50 papers in the international refereed journal with h-index, 11 (citation, >500). He was a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus mobility programme at the University of Trento, Italy in 2011, the attachment programme at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA in 2012 and Cadi Ayyad University, Morocco in 2014. Previously, in June 2009, he has been selected as Young Scientist to represent The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in the 59th Nobel Laureates Meeting, dedicated to chemistry at Lindau, Germany, and honored as ASEAN Scientist for Tomorrow by ASEAN at Jakarta, Indonesia in July 2009. In 2019, Dr. Mohd Sukor Su’ait has been nominated by The Young Scientist Network – Academy of Science Malaysia (YSN-ASM) to attend Science at the Shine Dome by The Australian Academy of Science and EMRC workshop by The Australian Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Forum (EMCR FORUM).
