My research interest is to construct the next-generation solar cells with high efficiency and low cost by creating new cell structures and intelligent materials based on the elucidation of the mechanism through fundamental study and simulation. I have been also working to make Photoluminescent Near-Infrared Quantum Dots (NIR-QDs) for 3rd generation photovoltaic devices. Another target is to design and synthesize of new pi-conjugated system with various color emissions, high electron affinities, and high fluorescence efficiencies for potential applications to EL devices, light-emitting organic field-effect transistors (LE- OFETs) for organic laser applications.
