Job Opportunities with MySTEP by Johor Digital & Emerging Technology Talent (JDETT)

JDETT is a talent Upskilling and Reskilling development program in collaboration with Johor state government and supported by IIBV’s its industry, talent, training, and funding partners for the creation of High Value jobs in the Digital and Emerging Tech sector. JDETT focuses on High Value, Digital and Emerging Technology enabled jobs.

To address unemployment, enhancing employability and stimulate domestic economic recovery, Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently introduced the Malaysia Short-Term Employment Programme 2021 (MySTEP2021) and PenjanaKerjaya 2.0 initiative under Belanjawan 2021. To kick start the JDETT, IIB Ventures (“IIBV”), a wholly owned subsidiary of IIB, will be implementing the MySTEP 2021 programme with the aim of providing job opportunities in both private and public sectors, focused on industries with high demand jobs.

MySTEP programme is open to unemployed Malaysian graduates from the ages of 18 to 30 and focuses specifically in key areas within the digital and emerging technology sector in which quality talent is in under-supply, mainly encompassing the opportunity in the areas of:

– artificial intelligence,
– robotics,
– blockchain,
– e-commerce,
– drone technology and
Digital Global Business Services.

This programme offers a 5 months internship, a salary allowance of RM2,000 per month for up to 5 months as well a one-off mobility allowance, this will also be accompanied by a formal and on the job training by the host companies .

Target group is graduates with diploma (min 2 years work experience) or degree holder that have been unemployed for min of 3 months .
