PRIME Study: Precision Medicine in T2DM for Malaysia.

2 May 2025 | Research discussion with our Honorary Professor, Prof Dr Chim C Lang from the University of Dundee, UK. Interesting findings on Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) in T2DM in Malaysia, retina scans to predict CVD at an early stage and the classification of T2DM based on the clinical, biochemical and genetics data. These efforts (PRIME) have the potential to significantly advance precision medicine by enabling more tailored risk stratification and treatment strategies for individuals with T2DM. Looking forward to our publications soon. The MRC-Newton Ungku Omar grant funds the project and is headed by Prof Datuk Rahman and Prof Chim C Lang.
