Introduction

The Institute of Climate Change (IPI), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, established in December 2013, has been actively involved in advancing climate change research and environmental improvement at both local and global levels. As a renowned educational and research centre, IPI focuses on climate change, space science, and environmental studies. IPI also serves as a key advisor to the Government of Malaysia, providing technical expertise on climate and environmental issues.

EARTH OBSERVATION CENTRE (EOC)

Conducting research on the impacts of global change through the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing.

SPACE SCIENCE CENTRE (ANGKASA)

A research centre that conducts postgraduate-level teaching and research in the fields of Space Science, Technology, Applications, and Space Governance.

CENTRE FOR TROPICAL CLIMATE CHANGE (IKLIM)

A research centre aimed at advancing knowledge on the physical basis and impacts of regional climate change, particularly in Malaysia and the Southeast Asian region.

Environmental Management Centre (EMC)

A research centre and data repository for environmental and climate change information.

ONE STOP DATA CURATION PORTAL​

One-Stop Data Curation Portal for Climate Change Research in Malaysia, MyIklim was launched in 2022, giving a worldwide open-access database on environmental and climate change research in Malaysia. The main mission is to disseminate current research data in an interactive, easily understandable to the general public.
