The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) offers funded research projects using allocations of APT Extra Budgetary Contribution China. The theme of this year’s project is to encourage the use of ICT applications to address socio -economic issues such as poverty, digital divide, health, education, clean energy, infrastructure development, cities and sustainable communities. The program offers funding of up to USD100,000 per project if selected. While the proposed participation must involve cooperation with expertise from China. Projects that can be proposed include field studies/surveys from experts, study visits to China, research collaborations and pilot projects. Project implementation is within a maximum of 24 months from the date of approval.
