3 November 2025 | The Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) organised a Community Service Programme themed “Exploration of Prehistoric Skeletons and Human Bones” on 3 November 2025 as an initiative to provide early exposure to the study of anatomy and biomedical sciences.
The programme involved 92 students and 10 accompanying lecturers from Kolej PERMATA @ PINTAR Negara. Throughout the programme, participants attended briefings on the structure of the human skeleton and its importance in medical education and research.
Participants also had the opportunity to join a learning visit to the Anatomy & Pathology Museum and the Dissection Hall of the Department of Anatomy, where they were briefed on anatomical specimen collections, teaching processes, and the application of anatomical knowledge in medical training.
This programme is expected to broaden the participants’ understanding of anatomy while strengthening collaborative ties between UKM and external educational institutions in advancing STEM and biomedical science education.
