Welcome Remark

The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme (EEEP) or in Bahasa Melayu Program Kejuruteraan Elektrik dan Elektronik (PKE), is one of the five distinguish programme that being offered in Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment. Established as Electronics Unit under the Faculty of Science in 1978, this Programme was promoted to Department of Electronics under the Faculty of Physics and Applied Sciences in 1982.  From 1984 to 2017, the Department was located under the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment with new designation, The Department of Electrical, Electronics and Systems Engineering. The year 2018 was the UKM year of major  restructuring, where the department was again renamed and The Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme is designated until today.

Currently EEEP offers four coursework degree programme, accredited by Malaysia Qualification Register (MQR), leading to

  • Bachelor of Engineering with Honors (Electrical and Electronic Engineering)
  • Bachelor of Engineering with Honors (Electronic Engineering)
  • Master of Engineering (Microelectronics)
  • Master of Engineering (Communication & Computer)

Our undergraduate degree programmes were professionally accredited by BEM since 2004 and continue to emerge as one of the best Electrical and Electronics Programme in Malaysia. We have more than 90% of employability rate and being ranked as top 100 in QA World University Ranking by Subject.

We are committed to promote best learning experience and produce skill-full, versatile and excellent engineers locally and internationally, thus, accomplish the aspiration of our nation.
