Benchmarking Visit by UiTM Faculty of Medicine to the Department of Anatomy, UKM

9 September 2026 – The Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), welcomed a benchmarking visit by the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) on 9 September 2026.

The UiTM Faculty of Medicine delegation, led by Head of the Department of Anatomy, Dr. Muhammad Fairuz Azmi, comprised 23 staff members.

The benchmarking visit aimed to share knowledge, experience and best practices in the management and operation of the Department of Anatomy, particularly in the areas of teaching and learning, facility and laboratory management, as well as academic support services.

Throughout the visit, the UiTM Faculty of Medicine delegation had the opportunity to receive briefings and exchange views with members of the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, UKM, on departmental management and the facilities provided to support academic and research activities.

The visit is expected to strengthen collaboration and expertise-sharing between the two institutions, while providing opportunities for the exchange of ideas and best practices in the fields of anatomy and medical education.

The Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, UKM, extends its highest appreciation to the UiTM Faculty of Medicine delegation for their visit and commitment towards the success of this benchmarking programme.
