– Cell Culture & Stem Cell Laboratory

This is a state-of-the-art laboratory which houses all the equipments required to perform cell culture and stem cells experiments along with non-radioactive cell-based assays. The lab has well organized workstations, Class II Biosafety cabinets, centrifuges, CO2 incubators, refrigerators, freezers and the latest inverted microscopes.

Both the general cell culture lab and the stem cell lab are used for culturing and maintain live cells from cell lines, primary cells and embryonic stem cells. All cell culture and stem cell users are required to undergo a structured training programme and then evaluated on their cell culture aseptic techniques before being allowed for full access to the lab facilities. The laboratory can be used by researchers outside UKM for a competitive charge.
