Animal Room (Rats)
The department has a dedicated animal room that can accommodate up to 100 rats at a time. These animals are used for research purposes only and are under the supervision of the UKM Animal Ethics Committee. For now, this room is only able to accommodate rats but not mice or other types of lab animal. There are sufficient equipment for basic manipulation purposes such as feeding, blood pressure intake, weight measurement and other morphology. For other manipulations, it is done in a separate room.
