Research: Stress Enzyme

Research on stress enzymes is gaining attention globally. Research conducted by this group examine the effects of 11 Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase type 1 on cells such as the adipose and bone cells. The results of previous studies have shown an increase in the level of stress enzymes in obesity and osteoporosis. If the activity of this enzyme can be reduced it is hoped that problems such as metabolic syndrome and osteoporosis can be overcome.
