Hydrogen energy and fuel cells have developed in developed countries such as Japan, Canada, the United States, and the UK as primary power sources and backup power generation. Countries in Southeast Asia have also used fuel cells such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. For example, fuel cell installations in Indonesia have more than 500 units of fuel cells in the area of telecommunication towers. It is time for Malaysia also to use hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology. Fuel cells have advantages such as having higher efficiency than diesel or gas engines, operating quietly, eliminating pollution caused by burning fossil fuels, and many other benefits. At the same time, hydrogen is an energy carrier that can be obtained from various sources such as methane, gasoline, biomass, coal, and water that can reduce pollution and form a sustainable production system through the water as a carrier of hydrogen energy. This short workshop aims to introduce fuel cell technologies such as Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC), Liquid Fuel Cell (LFC), Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC), Biofuel Cell (BFC), hydrogen energy, hydrogen production technology, transport, and storage as well as current issues as well as future developments. The speakers involved in this workshop are: 1. Prof. Dato’ Ir Dr. Wan Ramli Wan Daud 2. Prof. Ir Dr. Siti Kartom Kamarudin 3. Prof. Dr. Junji Inukai 4. Prof. Dr. Nigel Peter Brandon 5. Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Loh Kee Shyuan 6. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahbudin Mastar @ Masdar 7. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lorna Jeffery Minggu 8. Ts. Dr. Lim Kean Long For more information, see the course brochure:
