Introduction
Dietetic is one of the multidisciplinary field in health sciences that applies the principle of medical nutrition therapy in the care and treatment of an individual or patient. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is the pioneer of Bachelor of Science in Dietetics (Honours) degree in Malaysia, producing top-notch diet experts since 1988. The program spans a minimum of 4 years or 8 semesters, offering learning tracks in clinical or entrepreneurial dietetics. This program covers the basics of health and nutritional needs, followed by understanding the aspects of clinical nutritional therapy according to nutritional care process model. Clinical training will be provided at two UKM-affiliated teaching hospitals that aims to produce dietetic graduates who are competent and skilled in managing dietetic clinical cases.

Entry Requirements
Matriculation/ Foundation applicant
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 2.67 at the KPM Matriculation / Foundation level;
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
- Biology
- Mathematics
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in Physics Matriculation level
or
- At least Grade B at the SPM level in Physics.
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS
or
iBT score of 46 in TOEFL
and
- Pass the test and/or interview set by the faculty.
STPM Applicant
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 2.67 at the STPM level;
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
- Biology
- Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T)
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in Physics in STPM Level
or
- Obtained At least a Grade B at the SPM level in Physics
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS
or
- iBT score of 46 in TOEFL
and
- Pass the test and/or interview set by the faculty.
Diploma or Equivalent Applicant
- Possess a Diploma in Science / Health Sciences / Equivalent recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government or Ministry of Health (MOH)
and
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 3.00
and
- Candidates must submit academic transcripts from Semester 1 to the final Semester
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS
or
- iBT score of 46 in TOEFL
and
- Pass the test and/or interview set by the faculty.
A-Level Applicant
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 2.67 at the A-Level;
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
- Biology
- Mathematics
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in Physics in A-Level
and
- At least a Grade B at the SPM level in Physics
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released

- Band 5.5 in IELTS

- iBT score of 46 in TOEFL

International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) Applicant
- Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum score of 30;
and
- At least a score of 5 at the High Level (HL) for:
- Biology
- Physics
- Mathematics (HL)
and
- Pass other subjects at the Standard Level (SL).
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS
or
- iBT score of 46 in TOEFL
and
- Pass the test and/or interview set by the faculty.
