Introduction
The Biomedical Science Program at UKM is one of the first three programs that spearheaded the establishment of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FSKB) in 1992. This academic program has been accredited by an international body since 1997 through the IBMS, based in the United Kingdom. The UKM Biomedical Science Program is also one of the six pioneer universities in forming the Pan-Asian Biomedical Science Consortium in 2012, involving countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Thailand. It boasts a robust curriculum that is updated every five years based on the requirements of the Allied Health Professions Act 2016, as well as the needs of the industry and other stakeholders. Students have the opportunity to undertake diagnostic laboratory clerkships and industrial training both locally and abroad.

Entry Requirements
Matriculation/ Foundation applicant
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 3.00 at the KPM Matriculation / Foundation level;
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
and
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in Physics Matriculation level
or
- At least Grade B at the SPM level in Physics.
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released

- Band 5.5 in IELTS

STPM Applicant
- Obtained at least a Grade B- (GP 2.67) in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T)
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS
or
- iBT score of 46 in TOEFL
and
- Pass the test and/or interview set by the faculty.
Diploma or Equivalent Applicant
- Possess a Diploma in Science / Health Sciences / Equivalent recognized by the University and the Malaysian Government or Ministry of Health (MOH)
and
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 3.00
or
- Possess the same Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 3.33 and at least three (3) years of working experience in a diagnostic laboratory.
and
- Candidates must submit academic transcripts from Semester 1 to the final Semester
and
- Obtained at least Band 3.00 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from session 1 of 2021 according to its validity period of 5 years from the date the test results are released
or
- Band 5.5 in IELTS

A-Level Applicant
- Obtained at least a CGPA of 3.00 at the A-Level;

- Pass the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with a minimum score of 30;

- Pass other subjects at the Standard Level (SL).
