Important Information

1. There are 2 category of charge, UKM/ Government Agencies and the Private Sector. However, there are several exemptions to the laboratory service charge rates as per the following details:

FSK UKM student/ researcher

No service charge is applied. The user is only charged for consumables (if applicable).
UKM/ Other Public Universities (IPTA) students/Government Agencies, + Supervisor FSK UKM researcher

Laboratory service charge rate according to the UKM/Government Agency rate with a 20% discount from the total charge
Private Universities students/ Private Sector + supervisor is an FSK UKM researcher

Laboratory service charge rate according to the private sector rate with a 20% discount from the total charge.

2. For equipment rental, a maintenance/operational charge will be applied, depending on the service provider.

3. Price includes space and equipment charges, additional costs such as consumables, chemicals, gases, raw materials, and other charges (e.g., stationery, utilities, maintenance) if used, consultation services, insurance, fees for staff on duty/involved during the service usage, and prevailing tax charges will be factored into the quotation.

4. Any discount will be given to users subject to approval from the Head of Program/ Chairman of the Research Center.

5. Requests for expedited analysis (fast lane) will be considered and are subject to an additional 50% surcharge (from the normal price

6. Bench fees were applied for long-term lab usage. Fees include the basic laboratory equipment/chemicals/consumables. The use of high-technology equipment will be charged at the normal rate
