UKM Forges Strategic Collaboration with Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), through Pusat Strategi UKM, continues to strengthen its international strategic network through the signing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) in Baku, Azerbaijan, today.
The LoI was signed by Pro Vice-Chancellor (Strategy and Sustainability), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee Rajikan, on behalf of UKM, while ASOIU was represented by its Rector, Rufat Azizov.
The signing of the LoI marks an initial step towards expanding strategic relations between the two universities, particularly in the development of joint research activities, academic staff exchange and mobility, student exchange for research and study purposes, participation in seminars and academic meetings, as well as the exploration of other mutually beneficial activities.
This collaboration also provides opportunities for UKM and ASOIU to develop joint projects and initiatives in the future, thereby strengthening the sharing of knowledge, expertise and academic networks between Malaysia and Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, it reflects UKM’s commitment to expanding its global university network and developing strategic, mutually beneficial international collaborations in the areas of academia, research and institutional development.
