Benchmarking Visit from UKM to UniSZA

A delegation from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) conducted a benchmarking visit to Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) on Monday, 5 May 2025.

The visit was led by YBhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee Rajikan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Strategy & Finance) and Director of the UKM Strategy Centre, accompanied by a team of strategic officers from the university.

The objective of the visit was to gain insights and understanding of best practices in sustainability and green campus development, as well as to share strategies for improving data preparation in line with the UI GreenMetric global ranking system. A key focus was to explore and understand UniSZA’s approach to managing sustainability-related data—an essential component for university rankings at both national and global levels, particularly under the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings framework.

The programme also served as a platform for knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices in green campus development, sustainability data collection, and the enhancement of impactful reporting strategies.

Such visits are expected to strengthen UKM’s ongoing efforts to build a holistic and sustainable ecosystem, in line with the university’s aspiration to be a leading institution in sustainable development.
