UKM signed a Memorandum of Understanding with two institutions namely INVESTKL and Supergenics Life Science Sdn Bhd at the QS APAC 2023, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, to expand cooperation in various fields.

Among the activities that will be carried out through the signing of the MoU with INVESTKL are encouraging research in the field of sustainability, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) and SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), encouraging cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including organizing symposiums, conferences, micro-credential courses and meetings, exchange of information, expertise and best practices on developments in teaching, talent development and company sustainability, as well as exploring and facilitating academia and industry collaboration in research, case studies, industrial placements and other activities related to industry which promotes business sustainability practices.

Meanwhile, the MOU signed with Supergenics Life Science Sdn Bhd focuses on the organization of joint academic activities such as courses, conferences, seminars, symposiums or lectures, professional training in technology related to research activities and the use of equipment, promotion of clinical trials in the field of Regenerative Medicine, promote academic, educational and other industrial exchange programs, exchange of research results and exchange of publications and other materials of mutual interest.


This MoU was signed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academic and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kassim who represents UKM, while INVESTKL was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli and Supergenics Life Science Sdn Bhd was represented by the Managing Director, Mr. Tan Bii Chau.

Also present was Pro Vice-Chancellor of Strategy and Corporate Development, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Roslee Rajikan and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Abdul Ghafor.
