Sustainable Mosque Program: UKM with the Community 2025

The Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment (FKAB), in collaboration with KDEB Waste Management and Masjid Sungai Sekamat, Kajang, successfully organized the Sustainable Mosque: UKM with the Community 2025 program on 11 October 2025.

The initiative aimed to promote sustainability education through community activities such as recycling, composting, energy and water conservation, and STEM-based environmental modules.

The event was officiated by Prof. Ir. Dr. Norhamidi Muhamad, FKAB Council Member, with participation from Masjid Sungai Sekamat Nazir, Mr. Rosli Darus. Highlights included energy-saving talks by Dr. Syahirah (JKEES), recycling demonstrations by KDEB, and engaging STEM activities like iG-Home, LESTARi, STEM Racer, and Colourful Tower.
