Madani Steps Expression Program in conjunction with MAW 2025/2026

Over 4,000 new students of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) for the 2025/2026 session, together with the university’s top management led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sufian Jusoh, walked around the UKM Bangi campus this morning in support of the “Madani Steps Expression” program held in conjunction with the 2025/2026 Minggu Apresiasi Watan (MAW) (National Appreciation Week).

The walk began at Dewan Gemilang, joined by students from Kolej Keris Mas and Kolej Ibu Zain, and proceeded to Checkpoint 1 to meet students from Kolej Rahim Kajai. The walk continued to Checkpoint 2, where they met students from Kolej Dato’ Onn and Kolej Tun Hussein Onn.

All UKM top management and students from the five residential colleges then continued walking to Checkpoint 3 to meet students from Kolej Aminuddin Baki, before heading to Checkpoint 4 to meet students from Kolej Pendeta Za’ba, Kolej Rahim Ibrahim Yaakub, Kolej Burhanuddin Helmi, and Kolej Ungku Omar. The participants then continued their journey to Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Razak (DECTAR).

The “Madani Steps Expression” brisk walk, covering a distance of more than three kilometres, was held to promote a healthy lifestyle among new students while also appreciating the beauty and greenery of the UKM campus.
